Halloween is a very scary time of year for me. Not because I have a fear of black cats and elementary school kids dressed up like Disney characters. No Halloween is scary because it kicks off the holiday season which includes two birthdays in November. So not only am I scrambling to keep up with all the family, school and neighborhood events, but I am also planning and coordinating the birthdays for my children. If that doesn't give you nightmares nothing will.
It may seem to the casual observer that I am an Ebenezer Scrooge. That I don't enjoy celebrating with family and friends during the holiday season. But believe me, that's not the case at all. I do enjoy the actual events, but the added stress that goes with piling on more responsibilities to an already overworked, over-committed, overwhelmed single dad makes me WISH a ghost would take me back to my childhood!
So if Halloween isn't scary enough for you, come back an read my blog this holiday season. It will scare you silly!!! :-)
